June 2009 - East Texas high school using GoToLearn, raises rating from 'unacceptable' to 'acceptable'.
June 2009 - Houston high school, with high-risk population, reports 48 percent increase in passing
scores on the TAKS after using GoToLearn for only 4 months. Campus rating goes from 'unacceptable'
in 2008 to 'recognized' in 2009.
May 2009 - Dallas inner-city high school reports 95.8 percent pass rate on TAKS and an Exemplary
rating from TEA. Using GoToLearn, this school has progressed every year and hopes to achieve 100%
passing next year.
February 2009 - Sally Philipp, Dr. John Pankratz and Tim McCord were invited to participate as judges
in the North Dallas Regional Elementary Science Fair. Ms. Philipp, Dr. Pankratz and Mr. McCord have
all been judges in the past for the DISD Secondary Science Fairs. The Science Fair will be held at
the Garland Special Events Center.
December 2008 - GoToLearn participated as an exhibitor at the TASA Conference in Austin where they
sponsored two lunches to meet with Superintendents, Asst. Superintendents, Curriculum Coordinators,
Testing Coordinators and Principals to learn of the challenges faced throughout the state on a daily
basis.
August 2008 - UNT to use Diagnostic Plus. UNT (University of North Texas) and GoToLearn agree on plans
for their 4th cooperative research project. UNT interns will be using Diagnostic Plus to identify areas
of weakness in students (in elementary and middle school math). The interns will differentiate and
direct their instruction based on the results of the diagnostic.
June 2008 - GoToLearn announced the release of the 3rd grade science diagnostic assessment and tutorials.
Taken from national standards, and mapped to the state standards, 3rd grade science is also available in
the dual-language format.
May 2008 - GoToLearn is pleased to announce that Mr. Christopher Corder has joined the GoToLearn team as
Director of School Partnerships. Christopher brings a wealth of experience providing solutions to districts
all over Texas and other states.
April 2008 - GoToLearn announced plans to provide End-Of-Course assessments and tutorials for Algebra I,
Algebra II, Geometry, Biology, Physics and Chemistry. Scheduled release is Fall 2008.
March 2008 - GoToLearn and UNT (University of North Texas) release results of their third research project.
UNT interns used GoToLearn as a diagnostic - to identify the areas of weaknesses in students.
The interns then differentiated and directed their instruction to those weaknesses.
When retested - every student had improved.
February 2008 - GoToLearn unveiled their new Diagnostic Plus product at the TCEA (Texas Computer Education
Association) conference in Austin, Texas. Diagnostic Plus offers a variety of assessment creation options.
Teachers and/or administrators can create assessments for district, campus, class, teacher, or students.
Assessments can be created at the concept, skill or sub-skill level. Diagnostic Plus also offers reporting
for district, campus, class teacher or student - at the concept, skill or sub-skill level. Diagnostic Plus
utilizes the same great content (both questions and tutorials) that is available in the CD product(s).
