Helping schools achieve their goals.
Recent federal education reform, commonly referred to as
President Bush's No Child Left Behind Act,
requires every state in the country to have a standardized testing program as well as an
evaluation system to make schools accountable for the education of each child in their care.
GoToLearn's mission is to help schools and teachers achieve their goals.
MATH: In light of the changes in the laws regarding assessment and accountability,
GoToLearn offers a solution to the dilemma.
GoToLearn's products are developed from national standards,
NCTM (National Council of Teachers of Mathematics).
What might be skill 8.1(B) in Texas - could well be skill 8.3(C) in Oklahoma, California or another state.
The important thing to realize is that "Math is Math."
No matter what skill is assigned by a particular state - the concepts don't change.
All assessments and tutorials have been researched and written by "active" teachers with many years of
classroom experience. They have been tested and modified so that they can provide the best opportunity for
your students to achieve the necessary skills.
Teachers from Texas (Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Allen, Richardson, San Antonio), Minnesota, Massachusetts,
Florida, New York, Illinois, California and Indiana have contributed to our products.
Rather than 'teaching to the test' - GoToLearn focuses on teaching the students the skills they need to
pass ANY test. Learning to strategize and being presented with multiple ways to solve a problem, allows
the student to develop the confidence required to succeed on standardized exams.
Ranging from Numbers 1
(1st grade) to
Pre-Albegra (8th grade) and beyond,
GoToLearn provides solutions to improving math skills (and scores) to a wide range of students.

GoToLearn's assessments identify areas of weakness. The tutorials help students understand math concepts and
take them through the steps to solve the problems.
Once areas of need are identified, teachers can focus on the specific skills the student requires to accomplish
mastery of the concept.
While emphasizing the building of skills, problems are presented in formats similar to standardized test formats
to familiarize students with the look and feel of those tests.
New practice questions and tutorials are being added frequently. The results are correlated with the standards –
to identify the specific student's needs. The tutorials contain (where applicable) step-by-step instructions to
help the student achieve understanding of the concepts.
